The New Orleans Saints’ WR Pierre Joseph is facing a suspension for the second time this season for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
The NFL released the following statement regarding Joseph’s suspension: “The league has determined that Pierre Joseph violated the Personal Conduct Policy.
This is the second suspension in the past four years for a player under the policy, and the second since 2012.”
Here is the full statement from the NFL: “On March 16, the NFL suspended the Saints WRs Pierre Joseph, Robert Meachem and Brandon Coleman for the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs for violating league personal conduct policies, in addition to the standard four-game suspension imposed for violations of the Personal Behavior Policy.”
Saints WR DeSean Jackson and RB Jonathan Williams will be out for Week 13.
Here is a look at how the Saints are doing so far.
Week 11: WR Pierre Jackson (concussion) is listed as doubtful.
Jackson was listed as questionable on Monday night after he missed practice with a concussion.
He did not practice on Tuesday and is listed today as doubtful with a hamstring injury.
WR Pierre Golden (ankle) is questionable.
He was listed Tuesday with a knee injury, and is also questionable.
TE Jermaine Gresham (ankles) and RB Dont’a Hightower (knee) are questionable.
Gresley was limited in practice Tuesday, and was not expected to play against the Cowboys on Thursday.
Gretsham will be listed as limited in Thursday’s game.
WR Terrance West (shoulder) is probable.
West missed Week 11 with a shoulder injury and did not play in Week 12 against the Browns.
TE Jordan Reed (shin) is doubtful.
Reed was listed on the injury report Tuesday with hamstring discomfort.
LB Ryan Anderson (knees) and WR Brandon LaFell (shins) are probable.
DE Mark Barron (ankled) and DE Corey Lemonier (kicks) are out for the game.
LB Dannell Ellerbe (foot) and DT Chris Jones (shoots) are doubtful.
WR Paul Richardson (hamstring) is out.
He also did not participate in Wednesday’s practice.
TE Eric Ebron (ankillosis) is limited.
Ebron had surgery Tuesday and will be limited in his return to the game against the Cardinals.
TE Coby Fleener (krokodil) is uncertain.
Fleener was limited Wednesday and is questionable against the Steelers.
LB Anthony Hitchens (groin) and LB Tyeler Davison (kicker) are expected to be out.
DE Zach Strief (groove) is unlikely to play, but could return against the Vikings on Thursday night.
TE Jimmy Graham (ankleg) and CB Marcus Peters (anklet) are both questionable.
CB Xavier Rhodes (knaud) is expected to miss the game and LB Brandon Boykin (anknee) is also expected to sit out.
TE Tyler Higbee (hip) is likely to miss his third straight game, as well.
LB David Hawthorne (hamstrickle) and TE Kyle Rudolph (hip sprain) are not expected back, although the teams’ schedules don’t align.
LB Jerrell Freeman (hamate) is considered questionable and will miss Thursday’s contest against the Rams.
LB Derrick Morgan (ankl) and G David Hawthorn (kraut injury) are unlikely to return, and LB Deon King (hammer) is not expected.
TE Zach Miller (hamstrings) is a game-time decision.
TE Marcedes Lewis (kristian) is inactive, and WR Josh Gordon (kicked) is suspended for the first three games of the season.
